Today Alzheimer’s disease cannot be treated except with certain ‘symptomatic’ action which cannot slow its development down. In the frequently undiagnosed initial phases, memory deficits can be offset with currently available technologies. This is the basis of the chatbot idea to support patients in this phase of the disease.
The potential is for a made-to-measure ‘service’ for patients, offering the numbers, habits, contacts and methods with which to get into their homes. It is not a therapy in itself but provides proactive methods for those who start getting lost as a result of the illness.
