After the first revolution in the fields represented by tractors (1889), the future of food will see an increasing use of technology, not only in agricultural production but also in food processing. The great technological innovations that will drive this future (biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, ICT) are already available and used in farming and food processing. Therefore, the future of food has already started and should be analysed with new approaches.
