In the era of feeding manias
“We are what we eat” said the philosopher Ludwig Feuerbach, but lately the opposite seems more common: “We are what we do not eat”. An increasing number of people define themselves based on what they remove from diet: lactose, gluten, products of animal origin, all sugars, or white ones only and so on. We will see how in many cases these exclusions do not have any scientific basis.
