Giovanni Tredici was formerly Professor of Neuroanatomy at University of Milano and Milano-Bicocca. He directed for many years the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical technologies, publishing around 200 neuroscience papers.
From 1982 to today he has been race physician at Italy’s main cycling events (Giro d’Italia, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Sanremo, Giro di Lombardia etc.). He is currently Chief Medical Officer at the cycling events organised by RCS Sport. In this capacity he has contributed to organising and developing medical assistance structures at cycling races in general but above all in multi-stage races.
