Roberto Ferrari

Chief of the "Centro Cardiologico Universitario Ospedale di Ferrara"

Prof. Roberto Ferrari graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna; he specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases in Parma and and he received a PhD on Cardiac Metabolism at the University of London.

He directs the Chair of Cardiology and the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases of the Ferrara University Hospital.

He was president of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) from 2006 to 2012, President of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) from 2004 to 2007 and he founded the European Heart for Children (EHC) humanitarian association.
