Tidu Lorenzo

Lieutenant Colonel Lorenzo Tidu is an Official Veterinarian of the Italian Army. Since 2004, he has been working as head of the canine medical and diagnostics section at the Centro Militare Veteriario of Grosseto, where he deals with the health of dogs used for explosive investigation by the Italian Army. He undertook commissions NATO and ONU abroad, dealing with stray dog phenomenon in Kosovo and with control of cross-border infectious diseases in Afghanistan and Lebanon. In 2000, he dealt with the theoretical part of the training of dogs to tuberculosis olfactory perception and since 2012 he has been participating in the creation of a study of the use of dogs in cancer diagnostics through urines, in collaboration with the research plan created by Dr. Taverna at the Humanitas Hospital in Milan.
